The Journey

 

My name is Amelia (no joke!).  As an Oregon native, I grew up loving the climate, and the great outdoors.  My appreciation for nature and its offerings of colors, textures, shapes and scents grew into a desire to express myself creatively with all that I saw around me.  Discovering how fun and rewarding it was to make art from nature,  a love for arranging flowers was cultivated.  With the encouragement of a dear floral designer friend, a desire to own my own business, and a thirst for adventure, Amelia's Flowers was birthed!  

 

Currently I am a freelance floral designer based in the Northwest.  Most of my work is designing and arranging flowers for weddings.  It is generally a one man show, but I often get to work with other independent artists (floral or otherwise) in my area for special projects, larger events, and sometimes just for creative fun!

 

It is important to me to retain the "naturalness" or organic look of the arrangements that I create, finding flowers to be the most beautiful when the are allowed to be wild and free, the way nature intended!  I hope you will enjoy these sweet flowers too!  I love what I do, and I am delighted to be able to share it with you.  Thanks for visiting!
